Here in Florida our state association has recently developed new forms to assist us with potential Chinese drywall properties.
In my beautiful state there is an estimated 36,000 homes that are believed to contain Chinese-made drywall. There is an estimated 60,000-100,000 homes nationwide that may have this drywall.
As a Realtor I am not educated on home inspection nor do I know how to recognize the signs that a home may contain this material. If you are thinking of selling and know you may have tainted Chinese drywall you must disclose it.
Not all Chinese drywall is defective and not all defective drywall is from China.
Florida law does not require me to use this addendum, however I am going to print some out and keep them handy.
